Hannah Jeanette Briggs
Soprano Hannah Jeanette Briggs is qually at home in classical music and musical theatre, singing Maria in The Sound of Music and the title role in Disney's Mary Poppins: The Musical alongside roles in Puccini's Suor Angelica and Strauss' Die Fledermaus. She and husband Jonathan Briggs offer a variety of services through Briggs Holdings, including music instruction, performance coaching, photography, business consulting, and more.
Along with a degree in vocal performance from Cal State Fullerton and studies at the prestigious Hotchkiss School, soprano Amanda Keenan is an art and print model, yoga instructor, and the lead singer for the band Citizen Kitten. Amanda has performed locally with Pacific Opera Project, Celestial Opera, Repertory Opera, and Angeles Chorale.
German-born soprano Kala Maxym has performed on opera stages and in concert venues across the United States and abroad. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2016, Kala has sung locally with Pacific Chorale, Long Beach Camerata Singers and Los Robles Master Chorale. She is also the founder of Five Senses Tasting, which produces fully-customized music and wine tasting special events.
Since earning her Master's in opera performance from Arizona State University, Jessie regularly appears with opera companies in the Los Angeles area, including Vineyard Touring Opera as Marie in The Daughter of the Regiment and Celestial Opera in Puccini's Suor Angelica. Her extensive credits in concert solo work include Messiah, Elijah, Carmina Burana, and Rutter's Magnificat and Requiem.
Creative entrepreneur, versatile musician, and self-proclaimed adventure junkie Allie Tyler is a professional crossover singer about whom Robert Istad (Artistic Director, Pacific Chorale) says: "Allie's voice is a world-class instrument." She is also a gifted career strategist who works with creative types on brand identity, marketing, and design.
Corinne De Vries
A multi-faceted vocalist with both jazz and classical training, Corinne holds a Bachelor of Music in vocal jazz studies from Michigan State University, had a recurring role in Season 3 of HBO's "Getting On", and appeared in commercials for ESPN and Apple. She maintains a busy private music studio in Valley Village.
Carrie recently completed doctoral studies in ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick in Ireland after studies at Chapman University, UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton. An accomplished scholar and restless world traveler, Dr. Dike is happy to return to sunny Southern California for the holidays to sing with Dickens & Co.
Playwright, singer, and actress Alisha Patterson received her BFA in musical theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She has since performed for Norwegian Cruise Lines and for the Walt Disney Company. Alisha also runs a party entertainment enterprise, Pure Imagination Party Company, that provides children's characters for special events.
An accomplished organist and a well-established concert mezzo-soprano, Laurel Sanders hails from Wisconsin, where she earned a BM in vocal performance from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. She has since made numerous appearances in the LA area as soloist in Mendelssohn's Elijah, Bach's St. John Passion, Haydn's Creation, and the Mozart Requiem.
A native of Grandview, Washington, tenor Joseph Michels stuided voice at Washington University in St. Loius and Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. He has since starred in a wide variety of tenor roles with opera companies in Los Angeles including Pacific Opera Project, Independent Opera Company and COPOLA.
Singer, arranger and producer Josh Munnell earned a degree in Commercial Music from Azusa Pacific University and has since kept busy recording albums and film scores while appearing at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Angeles Chorale. Josh regularly serves as a worship leader, vocal coach and freelance singer/arranger for Ensoma Creative vocal ensemble.
Classically-trained and equally adept at vocal jazz and commerical music, tenor Andrew Nguyen is an honors graduate in vocal performance from Cal State Fullerton and maintains a busy performance schedule as a soloist and ensemble singer. Andrew recently starred as Rick in Long Beach Opera's production of John Adams' I Was Looking at the Ceiling and Then I Saw the Sky at the Ford Amphitheatre.
A graduate of Azusa Pacific University in music theory and composition, Chris is also an accomplished composer, arranger and orhestrator who is active as a freelance concert and session singer. He has sung with Angeles Chorale and currently sings iwth Pacific Chorale as a professional chorister and serves as tenor section leader at St. James Episcopal Church in South Pasadena.
Cripsin begins his 15th year this season as a bass with Dickens & Co. Crispin has sung for The Los Angeles Master Chorale as a contract artist and is now pursuing a successful career as a producer, keyboardist, and vocalist for recording projects, including his work on Karen Olsen's acclaimed album A Hero's Journey.
Ricardo V. McKillips, Jr. is a graduate of vocal performance from California State University, Fullerton. He has sung under the direction of conductors Steven Mercurio, John Mauceri, James Conlon, Carl St.Clair, Keith Lockhart, Eric Whitacre, and the late Moses Hogan. He sings regularly with Pacific Chorale and the John Alexander Singers.
Also a graduate of Cal State Fullerton, Josh serves as bass section leader for the Irvine Valley College Master Chorale and at Sts. Simon and Jude Church in Huntington Beach. He also sings with Pacific Chorale and is a Level 3 Regional Judge for the Magic: the Gathering card game, though much of his time these days is devoted to being a new dad.
A classically trained operatic baritone, Matthew is equally at home in concert music, operetta, musical theatre and choral music. Matthew has numerous film and commercial credits and remains active as an actor for stage and screen. Matthew is also an accomplished recording engineer with considerable experience in both live and studio recording.
Baritone Scott Ziemann is an emerging artist within the operatic community. He is a graduate of Cal-State Fullerton and is a member of the Pacific Chorale. He has served as baritone soloist in Fauré’s Requiem and Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Orange County Choral Society and has performed several operatic roles, including recent performances of Father in Hansel and Gretel and Dr. Grenvil in La Traviata.
